Helped the Indian Cancer Society receive a donation of Rs. 1.53 crores or US$ 185,000 from PNB Gilts.
I helped develop and market a proposal to screen 5000 women for cervical cancer. The proposal, which contained a request for Rs. 1.53 crores or US$ 185,000, was sent to several potential donors, a few among them were, MG Motors, PNB Gilts Ltd. and Axis Bank. Followed up with all till finally PNB Gilts’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Team invited a proposal from Indian Cancer Society (ICS). It detailed the requirement for a number of cancer screening camps for women from underserved sections of society and provided an overview of the various costs involved. I personally presented the initial proposal to the PNB Gilts senior management team.

My work
- I was a member of the team from the Indian Cancer Society that was invited to present in person at the PNBG office to the senior leadership team on December 30th, 2022
- Successfully managed the communication between PNB Gilts, their auditors from Grant Thorton and the Indian Cancer Society office
- Developed a presentation and presented before the CSR Committee of the PNBG board on July 19, 2023 and received their approval
- On September 15th the first tranche of the CSR funds were disbursed
- On October 4, 23, I had the opportunity to attend the first cervical cancer screening camp that had been organised using the money I had raised. I enjoyed speaking with the women at the camp, raising awareness about the risks of cervical cancer and clearing any doubts they had
- Based on gynaecologists’ advice, 234 women have undergone free mammography and an additional 534 women have undergone a free HPV/DNA test. Five women have been identified for repeat tests and follow up consultations
- Out of the ten women detected as high-risk patients, 9 required second HPV DNA tests, while one has undergone a biopsy
- The money received from PNB Gilts has been used to provide monetary support for hospital treatment to seven women who have been diagnosed with cancer
- Awareness has also been generated through 21 radio talks

Donation of My First Paycheck to the Indian Cancer Society.
I performed professionally in a commercial capacity for the first time at the Quorum Club Gurgaon in February 2023 and donated my earnings to the Indian Cancer Society.
